Those who have been Led to Lead ...
Those who have been Led to Lead ...
God gives us gifts and talents and abilities.
He expects us to use them for His purposes.

Those who would lead must be willing servants.
Some leadership positions at Bethel Church are Full Time.
Others are Elected, some are Appointed, most are Volunteer.

Most positions require membership in the Church of the Nazarene
but, you don't need to be a member to serve the Lord,
you just need to know Him and be willing and available...

If you are interested in serving God with us here
or if you are interested in membership, let us know.
Ephesians 4:11-16 ESV
    (11)  And he gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the shepherds and teachers,
    (12)  to equip the saints for the work of ministry,
    for building up the body of Christ,
    (13)  until we all attain to the unity of the faith
    and of the knowledge of the Son of God,
    to mature manhood,
    to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ,
    (14)  so that we may no longer be children,
    tossed to and fro by the waves
    and carried about by every wind of doctrine,
    by human cunning,
    by craftiness in deceitful schemes.
    (15)  Rather, speaking the truth in love,
    we are to grow up in every way into him who is the head,
    into Christ,  (16)  from whom the whole body,
    joined and held together by every joint with which it is equipped,
    when each part is working properly,
    makes the body grow so that it builds itself up in love.

Luke 22  [CEV]
    25  So Jesus told them:
    Foreign kings order their people around,
    and powerful rulers call themselves everyone's friends.
    26  But don't be like them.
    The most important one of you should be like the least important,
    and your leader should be like a servant.
    27  Who do people think is the greatest, a person who is served or one who serves?
    Isn't it the one who is served?
    But I have been with you as a servant.

Titus 1 [CEV]
    5  … appoint leaders for the churches in each town. As I told you,
        6  they must have a good reputation and
    be faithful in marriage.
    Their children must be followers of the Lord and
    not have a reputation for being wild and disobedient.
                  7  Church officials are in charge of God's work,
    and so they must also have a good reputation.
    They must not be bossy,
    heavy drinkers,
    bullies, or
    dishonest in business.
         8  Instead, they must be
    friendly to strangers and
    enjoy doing good things.
    They must also be sensible,
    pure, and
         9  They must stick to the true message they were taught,
    so that their good teaching can help others and
    correct everyone who opposes it.
     10  There are many who don't respect authority, and
    they fool others by talking nonsense….
    11    But you must make them be quiet.
    They are after money, and
    they upset whole families by teaching what they should not.
    12  …. They are greedy and lazy like wild animals."
    13  ….  And you should be hard on such people,
    so you can help them grow stronger in their faith.

1 Timothy 3  [KJV]
    1  This is a true saying, If a man desire the office of a bishop [overseer / elder / church leader], he desireth a good work.
    2  A bishop then must be
    the husband of one wife,
    of good behaviour,
    given to hospitality,
    apt to teach;
    3  Not given to wine,
    no striker,
    not greedy of filthy lucre;
    but patient,
    not a brawler,
    not covetous;
       4  One that ruleth well his own house,
    having his children in subjection with all gravity;
    5  (For if a man know not how to rule his own house,
       how shall he take care of the church of God?)
        6  Not a novice,  [not a new believer, unskilled in handling and applying God's Word]
    lest being lifted up with pride he fall into the condemnation of the devil.
       7  Moreover he must have a good report of them which are without;
    lest he fall into reproach and the snare of the devil.

       8  Likewise must the deacons
    be grave,
    not double tongued,
    not given to much wine,
    not greedy of filthy lucre;
    9  Holding the mystery of the faith in a pure conscience.
    10  And let these also first be proved;
    then let them use the office of a deacon, being found blameless.
    11  Even so must their wives
    be grave, not slanderers,
    faithful in all things.
    12  Let the deacons be
    the husbands of one wife,
    ruling their children and their own houses well.
    13  For they that have used the office of a deacon well purchase to themselves a good degree,
         and great boldness in the faith which is in Christ Jesus.

1 Timothy 5 [CEV]
    17    Church leaders [elders who rule / spiritual rulers] who do their job well deserve to be paid twice as much,
    especially if they work hard at preaching and teaching.
    18    It is just as the Scriptures say, "Don't muzzle an ox when you are using it to grind grain."
          You also know the saying, "Workers are worth their pay."
    19    Don't listen to any charge against a church leader,
    unless at least two or three people bring the same charges.
    20    But if any of the leaders should keep on sinning,
    they must be corrected in front of the whole group, as a warning to everyone else.
    21    In the presence of God and Christ Jesus and their chosen angels, I order you to follow my instructions!
    Be fair with everyone, and don't have any favorites.
    22    Don't be too quick to accept people into the service of the Lord by placing your hands on them.
    Don't sin because others do, but stay close to God.

Mark 10:42-45  [AMP]
    (42)  But Jesus called them to [Him] and said to them,
    You know that those who are recognized as governing and are supposed to rule the Gentiles (the nations)
    lord it over them [ruling with absolute power, holding them in subjection],
    and their great men exercise authority and dominion over them.
    (43)  But this is not to be so among you; instead,
    whoever desires to be great among you must be your servant,
    (44)  And whoever wishes to be most important and first in rank among you must be slave of all.
    (45)  For even the Son of Man came not to have service rendered to Him, but to serve,
    and to give His life as a ransom for (instead of) many.
